Straight edges do not happen at the pour. They happen the day before, when the boards go up, the levels are checked twice and the steel is sat on chairs. When the forms strip, the edge underneath is the finished product.

The block, the levels, the access and the ground, measured on site. Finishes compared against your house in daylight, not from a brochure.

Written quote
One fixed written quote for the scope measured. Any crossover or covenant approvals your job needs are identified here, before anything is booked.

Form and set out
Boards to string lines, levels checked twice, base compacted to suit the ground, steel on chairs. The day that decides how the job turns out.
- 04
Pour and finish
Poured, screeded and finished in one continuous operation, timed for the weather. The finish you chose, applied when the surface is ready for it.
- 05
Cure and handover
Concrete is kept curing, joints are cut on time and sealing follows once the surface has settled. Care and reseal intervals are covered at handover.

Councils and covenants
Two councils, two estates, one crew that knows the Sunshine Coast rules
Crossovers on the coast run under a two tier system: a standard crossover is self assessed against the council checklist with no permit, and a non standard one needs written approval before work starts. Sunshine Coast Council and Noosa Shire each have their own drawings, materials rules and fees, and the Aura and Harmony estates add design covenants that decide what a driveway is allowed to look like.
None of that should be the homeowner's problem. What your job needs is identified at the site measure and confirmed in writing with the quote, and nothing is booked until it is settled. The driveways page covers crossovers in detail.

What does concreting cost on the Sunshine Coast?
Rates run per square metre by service and finish, supplied and laid, with plain work at the lower end and exposed aggregate at the top. The rates guide publishes the ranges. Prices may vary with site conditions and variations; the written quote after a site measure is fixed.
Do I need a council permit?
Concrete inside your boundary usually needs none. The crossover follows council rules: on the Sunshine Coast and in Noosa Shire a standard crossover is self assessed against the council checklist with no permit, and a non standard one needs written council approval before work starts. Which one your job is gets confirmed in writing with the quote.
What are the rules in Aura and Harmony?
Both estates carry developer design covenants on top of council rules, and undecorated plain grey driveway finishes are generally not permitted. Exposed aggregate and coloured concrete are the usual approved paths. Check the design guidelines for your release; what applies to your block is confirmed before anything is booked.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Concreting work valued over $3,300 requires a QBCC licence in Queensland, and we are QBCC licensed and insured, with the excavation and the pour handled by the same crew from start to finish.
How long does a job take?
A site measure is usually within a few days of enquiry. Most residential jobs are one to two days on site once booked, vehicles stay off new concrete for seven days, and pours are timed around Queensland weather, with morning pours through the warm months.
